White Creek Mitigation Bank

White Creek Mitigation Bank is an approved U.S. Army Corps of Engineers mitigation bank offering stream mitigation credits for all types of stream and buffer impacts in the Upper Ocmulgee Service Area. The Bank is located in Monroe County along tributaries to the Towaliga River, including White Creek.

Mitigation addressed historic degradation from dairy farming including riparian forest loss, degraded instream habitat, and channelized streams. Mitigation actions included restoration of approximately 8,600 linear feet of stream, improving channel pattern, profile, and habitat, as well as restoration and preservation of riparian buffers.
